Hoffman Academy Students and Friends Read Across America

Hoffman Academy was proud to host its first-ever Read Across America Day event on Wednesday, March 2, featuring some of Hoffman Home's "Very Important Friends" as they read some of their favorite story books to students. VIF's include Hoffman Homes' CEO and President Mitch Snider, Hanover Magazine Editor Lisa Breslin, and WFRE On-Air Personality Holly McCall. "Reading fosters learning, growth, self-discovery and healing," says Hoffman Academy Principal and VP of Education Walt Smith. "This is a great opportunity for our students, our school and our organization." Hoffman Academy students joined more than 45 million of their peers across the nation in this celebration of literacy and learning. Says Walt, "It's a tradition we hope to continue for many, many years to come, with the ongoing support of our community and Very Important Friends."
