Hoffman Academy

The Hoffman Academy offers educators the opportunity to experience full classroom autonomy while receiving all the necessary training to equip you with skills and strategies to purposefully build relationships with students and coworkers. Our teachers are provided an array of resources to fit every teaching style, as well as exceptional support from the Restorative Support Team and the administration.

The Hoffman Academy is a special education, private, academic school for students identified with social and emotional disorders. The school is aligned with, and located on the grounds of, Hoffman Homes for Youth- a psychiatric residential treatment facility outside Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Hoffman Academy educates approximately 100 students. The mission is to offer a positive learning environment combined with a therapeutic component. Teachers, therapists and direct-care staff work together to assist the young adults-in-care with achieving their treatment goals.

Applicants need to be able to receive a Private Academic School certification or have Pennsylvania Certification in Special Education (7-12; N-12; or PK-8). Dual Certification a plus. Proper clearances, as defined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, are required.
