Giving

Hoffman Homes for Youth is committed to promoting the personal growth and achievement of the children and families we serve through continuous quality improvement, education, staff development and the use of evidence-based practices.

Our team of caregivers is devoted to creating a culture of healing that enables our children to recover and thrive, and to realize brighter, healthier futures.  We cannot do this important work without the generosity of donors and volunteers.  Your support helps to ensure a brighter future for children in our community, and allows us to continue providing a steadfast commitment to those who need us.

More Ways to Give

Hoffman Homes for Youth invites the community to attend our annual special events! Each year we host a Golf Tournament, Charity Motorcycle Ride and Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala. For more information and sponsorship opportunities, click here.

Hoffman Homes for Youth is honored, touched, and truly grateful for grants from public, private, and corporate foundations, local organizations, clubs, and groups. Your support enables delivery of our program, from the upkeep of campus to the implementation of innovative therapies. Our campus is buzzing with youth 365 days a year! You ensure uninterrupted service and allow us to grow while remaining financially stable.  In becoming part of our story, you will receive annual reports, bi-annual newsletters, and an open invitation to visit! We will also share our partnership endeavors through social media. For more information about grants, please contact Janet Miller, Grants Manager, at 717-359-7148 x4503 or Send me a Message.

Hoffman Homes for Youth welcomes the opportunity to consider in-kind gifts of toys, games, school supplies, activity supplies, equipment, clothing, shoes and other tangible items. In-kind donations directly benefit the children in care – and make a real difference in the lives of our kids. Due to infection control and allergies, we can only accept NEW items. Please contact the Development Office to arrange delivery and acceptance of these wonderful contributions, 717-359-7148 x4502.

The holiday season should be a time of joy for all children. You can help spread holiday cheer to our children in care and make some of their simple holiday wishes come true!

These gifts are so much more than “stuff” for our kids. They are tangible reminders that others care about their health and well-being, and offer our children a glimpse of the brighter, happier future ahead, thanks to the kindness of neighbors like you who are committed to sharing your gifts with those in need.

In October, you can participate by requesting individual tags to purchase gifts for children in care, by donating funds and/or gift cards, or by volunteering your time wrapping gifts.

Honor and Memorial gifts are a wonderful way to celebrate birthdays, weddings, graduations, holidays, or remember and celebrate the life of a loved one who has passed. These gifts are deeply appreciated by Hoffman Homes for Youth and a heartfelt acknowledgment is sent to friends and family members.

If you plan to ask friends and family to donate to Hoffman Homes for Youth in lieu of flowers or gifts, please let us know. This will allow us to quickly notify you of donations made in honor of your special occasion or in memory of your loved one.

Since 1914, the purpose of the Friends of Hoffman Homes is to acquaint supporters within churches with the mission of Hoffman Homes for Youth, and also to educate supporters on the unique programs we offer to the children in care.

The Friends volunteer and plan fundraisers to assist the Development Office, helping us to strengthen our services for the children.

Membership is open to any individual who desires to support the mission of Hoffman Homes for Youth. There are two categories of membership: Representatives and Members-at-Large, both with a $5 minimum annual contribution.
